sooo i'm going to be blunt. i {love} what i do! i {LOVE} that i offer a full disk of high resolution images for my clients. i {love} when i get a cd with a copyright because then i know i have back up just in case...ya know?
well, i think i need to make it VERY clear what my copyright says...because i'm feeling like it really isnt even read! i'm seeing images on our dear friend {facebook} that i have taken...but wait! they look like a cheap snapshot! what happened! where is the image i spent so much time on?
so here it is: it says you may {PRINT} and /or {CROP}/{ENLARGE} the images on the disk received.
thats it! you cant change colors...ie make a black and white now purple green and red smudges. you CANT distort the original image so much that it is now something offensive! seriously! what is the purpose of me spending hour upon hour editing and perfecting an image to give to a client if that client is going to run it through some cheap downloaded program and COMPLETELY change the image? it no longer MY work and creation. it is NO longer MY art. it is insulting and sorry, but it's rude. why am i wasting my time?
bottom line, please read your copyright. please respect what i do. and PLEASE enjoy your pictures!
Why would any fool want to change what you've done? You have an amazing eye for editing. Silly people ;)
ReplyDeleteUghhh! People! Oh wait- I used a family picture you made for me as my profile pic. Is that allowed? Also, I have used them on my blog. I didn't do anything to them except add the words "the peterson family" at the bottom. Is that bad? Is that on the copyright. I promise i DID read it. I just have it all packed away now. I hope I am not breaking any rules! I love you!
ReplyDeleteP.S. So many peeps have commented on my facebook pic. Maybe you could consider me free advertising?
